A new Harris County hero is just six years old, old enough to pull a one year old boy out of a river.
A smaller child fell in last night and almost drowned. The one year old had been on a floating raft at Love’s Marina and Park in Crosby.
By the time the emergency crews arrived, the toddler had been pulled out of the water and a bystander had performed CPR. K’xavier McCullough says "it was simple." He saw a little white bump in the water, then went over a picked him up.
The man who performed CPR said he had been trained at work, but he’d never had to use that training before.
The child is in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital.
