You Can Get Career Advice From a Website

The online site LinkedIn.com can tell you when to look for another job and when to ask for a raise.  The business connection website now has more than 240 million users.  The algorithms it uses can learn a lot about you and your career.

“They have access to so much data about user behavior, they're actually showing they can predict with some degree of accuracy your career trajectory,” says social media expert Chris Kraft.

Kraft is the founder of SplashMedia.com.  He recommends you keep your profile updated.

“(They) use all this knowledge they are gathering every second of the day on their vast -- i think it's up to 240 million users -- and create some value,” he says, “so people keep coming back to the site.”

Keeping the profile updated could bring a contact taking you to that dream job you thought you'd never get.
