Microsoft's latest phone upgrade now offers a "driving mode" feature, making it easier for motorists to reduce distractions while driving.
“If you flip that switch on, its going to be able to read incoming texts, read incoming emails to you, so you don't have to take your eyes off the road,” says High Tech Texan Michael Garfield.
This is the third update for Windows 8 Phone since its unveiling a year ago. Apple and Samsung already offer similar driving mode software on their phones.
“There are few other features too that potentially can block calls and block texts, but its nice to see Microsoft and the Windows operating system catching up with the other operating systems doing the same thing,” he says.
Driving Mode however, does not block outgoing calls and text messages, so it doesn't stop the behavior altogether.
