Unlucky 13 for Texans

Fans at Reliant have seen the last of the texans in 2013.  They lost to the Broncos 37-13 in their home finale, the team's 13th consecutive loss.

Texans Interim Head Coach Wade Phillips says the team couldn't get anything going...

"Obviously, I thought we fought real hard.  You know, the interception when the game was close; I think before that though we were in field goal range to kick a field goal and got sacked twice - kept us from tying up the score.  We had the ball, three points behind and the game turned on that interception."

Quarterback Matt Schaub was back in the lineup, throwing for 176 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions...

"We had a close game then they made a play; and then their offense generated a couple of points and separated themselves a little bit.  And then we tried to hurry up and play catchup and we couldn't convert a third down here or there.  They did the things necessary to win the game."

Meanwhile, Broncos QB Peyton Manning had a record day, throwing for 400 yards and four touchdowns.  Manning again owns the single season record for touchdown passes with 51 - and there's still one game left in the regular season.

The Texans will finish out the season in Nashville Sunday when they face the Titans.
