The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is getting into full swing down at Reliant Park Tuesday, with country star Brad Paisley kicking off the nightly entertainment.
If you can't make it, check out the Eli Young Band Wednesday for Armed Forces Appreciation Day or Reba McEntire Thursday.
Vice President and COO Leroy Shafer says Friday's show features one of several newcomers to RodeoHouston.
“Usher has never been to our show before, so that one's exciting for us,” Shafer tells KTRH News. “Hunter Hayes has never been here, Banda MS which is playing Go Tejano Day, Robin Thicke and Florida Georgia line are new to us.”
The rodeo will be rockin' next week with REO Speedwagon and Maroon 5.
“If you want the hottest act out there, the one that sold out for us, we've actually sold all the standing room out, Maroon 5 with Adam Levine,” says Shafer who expects possibly 12 sellouts this year – 3 more than 2013's record-setting attendance.
Go Tejano Day in 2013 drew the largest crowd ever for a single performance at the rodeo – 75,305. Last year's rodeo also set the total attendance record – more than 2.5 million people.
This year's acts also include Selena Gomez, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton, The Band Perry and Zac Brown Band.
