Porsche Driver Robs Car Wash...For Change

Police are looking for a man who pulled up to a Pasadena car wash in a Porsche, to steal …. Wait for it… change! Using of all things a torch!

A lot of effort for a crime that has some puzzled about who and why? Not all 5 W’s just two. But there are three more letters that come to mind after hearing all the facts. WTF?  Okay here’s the story.

On February 27th a man driving a Porsche SUV pulls into Spencer Car Wash located at 4844 Spencer Hwy in Pasadena, 15 miles southeast of Houston.  According to police, the man gets out of his vehicle and pretends to start washing his SUV.  The man then goes to the back of his luxury vehicle, pulls out what authorities believe to be a torch.  He begins using the flame to remove the lock from the coin machine and steals the change inside.

Police say the surveillance video shows the man repeating this in each car wash bay starting at 4:00am and then driving off at 6:00 am.

According to authorities, the suspect was driving a newer model gray Porsche Cayenne SUV with a trailer hitch on the rear but no license plates.

He is described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a long brown leather jacket, tan ball cap and tan pants.  Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).  There is a reward for up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. All calls will remain anonymous.
