Plenty to Do for the Fourth of July

There are plenty of free and cheap events for you and your family this Independence Day.

In Houston, the annual Freedom Over Texas event held in Eleanor Tinsley Park starting at 4pm.  Headlining this year's concerts will be Sheryl Crow and Martina McBride.  Tickets are $8 a peice, kids five and under get in free.

Then in the Woodlands the Red Hot and Blue Festival will be held at Town Green Park and Waterway Square.  Lindsey Brown with the Houston Visitors and Convention Bureau says there is plenty for kids to do, "There is going to be a main stage with all kinds of activities with live music, face painting, games, booths, concessions...."

Not to be left out Galveston is holding their annual Independence Day parade and fireworks show.  The parade will run along Seawall Boulevard between 28th and 53rd Streets.  After the parade a 20-minute fireworks show will take place near 37th Street.
