Mega Church Uses Racy Billboard to Promote Message

A Houston-area mega church is getting world wide attention for it's new series of sermons called "Love Sex.”  Fort Bend County's River Pointe Church even has a giant billboard in Richmond promoting the racy message.

“Its more than trying to capture people's attention,” says Pastor Jason Pizzitola.  “We want to be somewhat of a thought leader to families in our community about God's plan, God's design, God's principles for love and its expression through relationships and marriage.”

Church officials say they're somewhat surprised by all the media attention.

“We've had phone calls from all over the world, someone sent me an article from the United Kingdom, its been interesting to say the least,” Pizzitola tells KTRH News.

Still, Pizzitola insists "Love Sex" is on par with the church's overall mission.

“For 16 years, River Pointe has been a place where individuals and families come to process their doubts about their faith, and to explore whatever relationship Jesus Christ has to do in their real lives, real issues, like sex,” he says.

The first sermon in the "Love Sex" series is Sunday and continues for the next three weeks of services.
