With the ground breaking ceremony now over, Houston’s iconic Gallery Furniture retail chain is officially expanding to Houston’s west side just off of the Grand Parkway with promises of no back-back-back-order slips and over 150 new jobs added in the area. Since the company’s founding in 1981—and with a workforce now of over 400--Gallery Furniture has expanded past its original 6006 North Freeway location to the Galleria area off of Post Oak. The newest 7301 Grand Parkway location will serve the growing west side of town. Owner Jim “Mac” McIngvale says to expect the same great selection and service that has earned them their reputation known to many long time Houstonians.
“Absolutely it’s the same store, whether it’s our original North Freeway location, the one on Post Oak or our new Grand Parkway location, we’ll continue to bring great service and deals to the residents of Ft. Bend County and to the great state of Texas.”

Plans for the 165,000 sq. ft. showroom include amenities such as an indoor playground and tree house for children and a full service restaurant. The new Gallery Furniture will also include an area where residents of The Brookwood Community for disabled adults will sell their products. Services available also include Gallery Movers, a full-service moving company that utilizes the stores' highly trained and meticulous delivery staff.
McIngvale has his sights set on further expansion by way of in-house manufacturing in the not too distant future as well.
Look for the newest Gallery Furniture location to open by late November.
