Houston police say two people have been shot during a Denny's restaurant holdup in which customers and the business were robbed of cash.
Police on Tuesday searched for the four suspects. Police did not immediately provide conditions on the wounded customer and an employee who were transported to a Houston hospital.
Detective Ken Nealy says three gunmen wearing masks and gloves entered the restaurant Monday night, forced everyone to the floor and took cash from customers and the registers. A fourth suspect was outside waiting in the getaway vehicle.
Police say at some point the suspects opened fire inside the restaurant and also outside. Some vehicles were damaged by bullets as the suspects drove away.
Authorities will review surveillance video from the Denny's in an attempt to identify the robbers.
