Limbaugh Celebrates 25 Years of Syndication

The most listened to radio talk show host in America is celebrating 25 years of syndication Thursday.  Considered the barometer of the Republican Party, Rush Limbaugh delivers a daily dose of conservative ideals to a weekly audience of 15 million people.

“The Democrat Party is leading the transformation, and in the view of many, the destruction of this country,” he told listeners Wednesday.

Limbaugh isn't one to mince words either.

“This continuing resolution technique of funding the government is a Democrat wet dream,” he said.

Media critic Jeff McCall of DePauw University, says love him or hate him, there's no denying Limbaugh's influence on politics in America.

“Rush Limbaugh has probably benefited over the years from the liberal outrage against him, because it has brought more people to become aware of him, some who like to listen to him and some who don't,” McCall tells KTRH News

Insiders believe he saved AM talk radio.

“Had it not been for him, would there have been somebody else?  That's a question for discussion.  But certainly he was the first opportunity to step forward and fill that void,” says McCall.

Tune in to the Rush Limbaugh Show weekdays from 11a-2p on KTRH.
