Thousands of bees are now out of a local woman's home thanks to a good Samaritan.
Tens of thousands of bees were found crawling inside Victoria Azpuru's west Houston home.
Azpuru's finances were limited. She had serious medical problems and she didn't know what to do.
Azpuru called KTRH television partner KPRC Local 2 claming she called Gotcha Pest Control.
"We were scared to death," said Azpuru. "I realized it was something bad when the man who was going to fix the gutters told me this is dangerous, and then I couldn't go out."
Gotcha Pest Owner Claude Griffin and his crew showed up and went to work removing the honeycomb and the bees. It was an $800 project in the hot summer sun.
"What's she gonna do? She can't do anything by herself. She's helpless," Griffin said. "So I said well, I'll go check it out."
Griffin and his assistant carried away the bees and covered up the hole.
"There would not be enough words to say thank you and how grateful I am for you to contact him, and with him of course," Azpuru said. "It's invaluable."
Griffin said he did it because it was the right thing to do.
