Multiple departments responded to a massive fire at a hotel that killed four firefighters and injured five more.

The five alarm fire started around noon at the Southwest Inn along the Southwest Freeway.  The smoke from the fire slowed traffic on the Southwest Freeway, traffic at one point was backed up all the way to the Sam Houston.
