Flyers' "Express Lane" Expanding in Houston

Flyers'

A security "express lane" may be coming to Hobby Airport by the end of the year.   The Transportation Security Aadministration is expanding the Pre Check expedited screening program to 60 airports before 2014.

TSA 's John Pistole says this is an opportunity to " provide the most effective security."  The program is already in place at Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Participants won't have to remove their shoes or take their laptops out of their cases,  perks normally reserved for members of the government's Trusted Traveller Program  and frequent flyers like Jay Stang:

"So you're just basically paying the TSA to ignore you; there's still a chance that they could decide, 'okay you're going to get the full screening.'"

To join Pre Check flyers must pay $85, be fingerprinted, and verify their identity at an enrollment center.
