More changes are coming to the over one billion Facebook users.
Facebook announced they plan to add 15-second video commericals to your newfeed later this year. The change is an attempt to monetize the over 600 million daily users.
Marketing expert Bill Fogarty says the ads are coming, "The potenial reward for monetizing that audience is so great that it is definitely something they will work with."
For comparison, this year's Super Bowl had an audience of just over 100 million, which means the Facebook crowd is very attractive for advertisers. The new ad revenue could be just what the doctor ordered for Facebook after their abysmal initial public offering in May of last year.
Facebook's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandburg says the new ads will play silently on your newsfeed three times a day. The company plans to roll out the new ads after final testing sometime later this year.
