Devoted A&M Fans Paid Big To See Loss To 'Bama

Texas A&M lost to Alabama in College Station, 49-42. No. 6 Texas A&M fell 2-1, putting Crimson Tide At 2-0. Despite the loss, devoted fans paid big to see their favorite team battle it out on the field.

Tickets to today's Texas A&M-Alabama game at Kyle Field were in limited supply, hiking prices.

Before the game, SeatGeek.com spokesman Will Flaherty told KTRH “the average price right now is $652.”  “That's the most expensive college football regular-season game we've ever seen, more expensive than the LSU-Alabama games the last two seasons.”

However, it didn't pay off for fans according to Flaherty who said people are paid up to $5,000 for premium club seats. Upper deck, end zone seats were selling for $330 dollars.

Before the game he also said “This ticket is more expensive than the Final Four when it was in Houston, 2011, more expensive than any Texans game we have ever seen,” Flaherty says.  “In fact, you could buy tickets to the next three Texans games for the cost of one ticket to Texas A&M-Alabama.”
