A&M Collapse Injures Four Workers

Four workers have been hurt three critically after a 300-foot barn frame collapsed Saturday.

The collapse happened at an $80 million Texas A&M University equestrian complex that's under construction.  The College Station Fire Department says the accident took place on university property about a mile from the main campus.

University police identified the contractor as Gamma Construction Company, with offices in Houston and San Antonio.

The injured workers were taken to hospitals. Their names and conditions have not been released at this time.  Officials are investigating the cause of that accident.   According to OHSA's website, Gamma Construction has been received eight safety violations since 2008, five of those citations serious, with fines of up to almost $15,000.
