Paralyzed Vets Annual Freedom Shoot

The Texas Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America will hold its second annual Freedom Shoot at 8 a.m. Sat., Dec. 5, at Clay Mound Sporting Center, 2001 Texaco Road, Liberty. Open to novice and experienced shooters, the 100-bird sporting clay course will help provide area veterans with free employment counseling, benefits assistance, advocacy, adaptive sports and recreation programs. The $100 per-person entry fee will also fund continuing education for the professional health care providers who serve veterans with spinal cord injuries and subsidize vehicle hand controls. Golf carts available if reserved three days prior to the event.
